Manufacturing heavy sashes economically
The economical manufacture of elements with high sash weights demands a great deal from hardware, particularly the hinge side. The “Roto NX | Power Hinge” hinge side combines high load-bearing capacity with the well-known advantages of the “Roto NX” modular system. Window manufacturers benefit from an extremely durable standard solution integrated into the system. They can produce large and heavy elements without losing out on proven system logic, assembly advantages and safety features. P cams and V cams from the “Roto NX” modular system can be used to manufacture windows and balcony doors with enhanced burglary protection, for example.
For reliable operation
The fact that the “Roto NX | Power Hinge” limits the sash’s tilt depth to 80 mm ensures greater safety, security and ease of use. Greater depths make it disproportionately difficult to close a very tall or heavy sash. From a sash weight of 200 kg and above, a central hinge from the “Roto NX” modular system is added to the hardware. For very tall sashes, Roto also offers an anti-slam device to complement the “Power Hinge” hinge side. It secures the sash in the tilt position and can also be retrofitted if required.
Greater safety and security with “TiltFirst” technology
The “Power Hinge” hinge side can be combined with the TiltFirst version of “Roto NX” Tilt&Turn hardware. Thanks to this hardware technology, whilst the sash can be tilted by anyone, it can only be fully turned opened by authorised persons using a key. Whether in waiting areas at public authorities, in hotels, schools, nurseries or care homes for the elderly, the Tilt-Only opening protects people from the risks associated with a window being left wide open.

The design of the robust hinge side impresses with its sleek, high-end appearance. The “Roto NX | Power Hinge” is manufactured with a silver, powder-coated surface as standard. But, on request, the hinge side can also be supplied – for example, for large-scale projects – with a bespoke window and hardware design in an RAL colour of your choice.

The “Roto NX | Power Hinge” hinge side was tested with Tilt&Turn sashes weighing up to 200 kg and Turn-Only sashes weighing up to 300 kg in accordance with EN 13126-8:2017. It passed the long-term functional performance test according to class H3 with 20,000 cycles. In accordance with the current QM 328 certification, “Roto NX” hardware with the “Power Hinge” hinge side can be used for sashes with a rebate width of up to 1600 mm and a maximum rebate height of 3000 mm.
